Least and Most expensive items!

I've made around 130+ purchases during my journey to build my dream Rosalina collection, so I have a decent idea of what items I expect to be expensive, inexpensive, sought after more/less or simply region specific items not available to others. Today, I'm going to go through a list and talk about my top 5 least and most expensive items! If the item was bought online, I'll show the full price paid (accounts for shipping too). I'll also go by the price that they were bought, unless they were purchased at MSRP. This will include items that Rosalina may appear in but might not be the main focus (cameos). Without further to do, let's start!

Least Expensive item #1: Jakks Super Mario 2.5 Inch Figure!!

Let's start off with the least expensive item. At $2.25. Crazy I know! We have wave 46 of the Super Mario Jakks Pacific figures line. In this line, the packaging was altered. Instead of being held on by a plastic zip tie, they have been moved to be in boxes stuffed with paper inside. Not much of the design had changed, only a few minor adjustments such as the hand and wand being tilted a bit higher than the previous figures. They were recently released at my local CVS when I bought them about a month-ish ago. They originally costed 8.99 but were already on discount, which was strange but hey, I'll take a good deal!

#2: Mario/Kart Monopoly Gamer Power Packs (U.S Ver.)

Our second item starting at $3.99, we have the Mario Monopoly gamer packs. These were bought at MSRP when they were first released at my local Gamestop. Since then, I've seen the prices skyrocket online, varying in price depending on edition. For the Mario one, I've seen sold ones going on average of $40-$60! The Mario kart ones sell for much lower, going between $15-$20. I didn't know this but apparently, there were various versions released. For the regular Mario gamer packs and Mario Kart ones there is the U.S version and a Chinese version. To my knowledge, for the regular Power packs, there is also a European version with two cards, which include a Russian version and a French/English version for Canada. Interestingly, you can obtain the Russian card two ways, buying the EU version or buying the Russian version, which contains the all the items the EU bag has only that the packaging is slightly different.

#3: Super Mario Wonderball Series 1 Coin

Our third item at $4.58 is a Super Mario Wonderball series 1 coin. I had no idea these were a thing until I saw them come up on Ebay. These come in chocolate eggs released by the company Wonderball. There are two series sets of these coins, the first series are character outlines and the second series are full collored line drawings of the characters. I really like them, they are nice, heavy and overall, a good collectible nonetheless. The coin can go for about $12-$17 in second hand markets.

#4: Mario Kart LED Bracelet

Our fourth item starting at $5.87 is a Mario Kart LED Bracelet made by ThinkGeek. I bought off of Ebay for .99 cents, although shipping and taxes added up to $5.87. Aside that, I love the LEDs on the bracelet. It opens up and closes back with a magnet, which is pretty cool. I'm a huge Mario Kart fan so this was an absolute joy to get. I don't wear it often as it is slightly heavy but stil enjoy it nonetheless. As of right now, i think there are a few listings still up but it sets you back around $20.

#5: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Promotional Coin

Lastly, starting at $6.87 is a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe promotional coin. This was bought on Ebay in 2021, one of my first purchases on the platform! As previously stated on an older post of mine, these were made by INTERIMAGE. The coin came from a blind bag promotion they had done in the Neatherlands in Febuary of 2018, about a year after MK8DX's release. The coin can't be found by itself as of right now, but can be found bundled with other coins released along side it!

Now, let's starts our expensive part, with the last item being the most expensive!

#5: Smash Bros Wii U/3DS Poster German Ad Page

At $60.98, we have a German poster ad! This poster ad is similar to the big poster released by Club Nintendo. I bought this by from a German seller, whom i've previously mentioned in older posts. I found it funny how there was a smaller version and eventually bought it after it sat in my watchlist for a while. I'm still trying to find a good place to hang it up.

#4: Mario Monopoly Gamer Power Pack (EU Ver.)

Remeber how earlier I mentioned these packs can go from $40-$60? Well, Our fourth item starting at $68.25 is a EU version of the Mario Monopoly Gamer Pack... Yeah, I uh, caved in and bought it. One of the cards came in slightly damaged, but nothing that was concerning. Don't know whether I should also cave in and buy the Russian packaging too. I'll definetly save up to buy the Canadian version however.

#3: Mario Kart Hot Wheels Standard Kart

Now we hit the 100's! Our third item at $101.85 is a Rosalina Standard Kart from Hot Wheels! Released in 2021, I had heard these were gamestop exclusive when they first came out yet found pictures of them in various websites. Anyways, I had completely forgotten about their release and after looking everywhere in local stores, I gave in and bought one online. The prices on this vary on this item. Rarely do they sell below $70 and go as high as $100-ish.

#2: Mario Galaxy Vol.1 Keychain

We're so close to the top! Starting at $109.20, we have a Mario Galaxy Vol.1 Rosalina keychain! Released around Mario Galaxy's lauch title debut, these keychains made by Banpresto would be released in a wave of volumes. This item was on my wishlist for a very long time (Since I began collecting). I would constantly browse Mercari JP and Yahoo Auctions Japan (YAJ) at least 3 times a day to see if any lisitngs came up. I would also check my second hand online stores here but nothing would come up. Eventually, one popped up on Ebay without a tag. I decided to buy it on the spot. These are hard to come by and go for a lot when they are listed. One Rosalina keychain can potentially set you back about $120-$200! But as of right now, there are none up for sale. Although, don't let that discourage you! Some might pop up later on.

Most Expensive item #1: Good Stuff Plush 4FT (48 inches)!!

$303.99. This is my most expensive item as of writting this post. A giant Rosalina plushie made by Good Stuff, a company that makes prize plushies and toys for fairs/carnivals. Previously, there were 2 huge Rosalina plushes that sold on Ebay a long time ago. If I recall correctly, one sold for $800 and the other one sold for $700. I was very lucky I got one for more than half the resale prices. A few parts such as the hands, ears and part of the hair are all stuffing but the majority of the plush is foam peanuts. I put an All Stars Rosalina plush for scale, and shes so tiny!

I know this was a longer post but thank you very much for making it to the end! Next up, I'll do something similar but with cards/stickers. I didn't include them here because there are so many that I wanted them to have their own post. Let me know your thoughts about this list! Until next time!
